Drawing from deep roots in the professional AV industry, we bring a sophisticated understanding of sound and acoustic performance to every product we offer.

Our team includes a full-time acoustician and a passionate staff committed to delivering exceptional acoustic results. We’ve enhanced thousands of rooms across a wide range of applications, helping clients achieve better sound clarity, control, and comfort.

Theodore Bahas, Owner Founder

Ted Bahas is an experienced business leader and entrepreneur with a strong foundation in professional audio, technology, and sales. He is currently the President of Techrep Marketing, a premier manufacturers’ representative firm, and Fullscale AV, a distribution company specializing in audio-visual solutions.

A 1985 graduate of Ohio University with a B.S. in Communications, Theodore began his career in the professional audio industry with regional sales roles at Digidesign (Avid) from 1988 to 1995, and Sonic Solutions (SNIC)—both of which went public during his tenure. His passion for innovation and customer service led him to co-found Techrep Marketing in 1998, where he helped build a reputation for excellence in manufacturer representation. In 2010, he expanded his entrepreneurial footprint by co-founding Fullscale AV and Prosocoustic, further advancing his commitment to high-quality AV solutions.

Ted's career is defined by a customer-first mindset, a track record of growing brands, and a deep knowledge of the evolving audio-visual landscape.

Ted is also a lifelong performing musician with a passion for travel and photography.

Rich Matthai – Managing Director

Born and raised in Nashville, Rich grew up surrounded by the rhythms of the music industry and developed an early passion for electronics and audio. Though his career took a delicious detour—earning a culinary degree and spending 15 years as a chef and catering business owner—his heart never strayed far from sound.

Returning to audio with renewed energy, Rich earned another degree and dove headfirst into live sound, eventually becoming one of Nashville’s top 10 wedding DJs. But as the spotlight faded, his passion for gear and supporting artists took center stage. In 2011, he found his home at FSAV, where he’s been thriving ever since.

Outside of work, Rich is married to a powerhouse singer, and they’re raising two energetic boys who keep him on his toes. He’s an avid scooter enthusiast (real scooters only, thank you), a beach lover, and a hands-on maker—crafting everything from custom toys to 3D-printed gadgets for his family. Just don’t ask him to get too close to a shark—even in an aquarium.

Jeff Hartman - Acoustical Engineer

Jeff Hartman is an accomplished acoustic engineer with a distinguished career spanning innovations in audio technology, wireless communications, and acoustic product development. He was awarded the prestigious Trilon Discovery Innovative Technology Award in 1992 for his development of the non-inverting optical comparator circuit used in positional monitoring of optical attenuators. This groundbreaking work also led to the creation of a zero-latency guitar synthesizer interface, bridging high-performance electronics with musical expression.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Technology from D.I.T. Columbus. He has a long-standing commitment to innovation, having founded the IEEE Columbus Chapter’s Wearable Computer Club and co-founded multiple ventures, including Wilkshire Communications, Inc.—a wireless broadband ISP and server colocation provider—and Next Industries, where he helped develop the WAVE acoustic panel.

Since 2016, Jeff has served as an Acoustical Engineer at FullScaleAV, bringing deep technical expertise and creative insight to the design and deployment of advanced audio solutions.

Outside of his engineering work, Jeff is also an avid fashion photographer, blending his artistic vision with a technical eye to capture striking and expressive imagery.

Gregg Pickens - Customer Service Lead

Gregg works closely with customers across North America, providing expert support and guidance on audio gear, system integration, and AV solutions for studios, live venues, houses of worship, and commercial installations.

Gregg’s deep knowledge of music and signal flow began early. Since childhood, he’s been fascinated with the mechanics of sound—especially signal routing and audio processing. Whether experimenting with new ways to connect gear or troubleshooting complex setups, he has always had a hands-on, creative approach to problem-solving.

Outside of work, Gregg is an active musician who has played guitar and drums in various bands and recording projects. He has also led worship at several churches, bringing both musical and technical skill to the stage. In addition, he crafts custom guitar, patch, and MIDI cables—blending precision and passion to serve the music community in yet another way.

Gregg brings together technical expertise, musical insight, and a strong commitment to customer service—making him a trusted resource for both seasoned professionals and newcomers in the audio world.
